As a cover conductor: New York Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel, Sheku Kanneh-Mason & Ellen Reid
April 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Gustavo Dudamel — the Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Music & Artistic Director Designate — and Artist-in-Residence Sheku Kanneh-Mason join the Orchestra for Bloch’s impassioned Schelomo, in which the solo cello voices the anguish, sensuality, and broken majesty of King Solomon. Dudamel also conducts Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite and Earth Between Oceans, a new work by Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Reid.
